I haven tried that. But from ATI website can i use Driver version 8. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread.
Am I correct in assuming that this is mostly for hard core gamers, and graphics specialists? Verified audio is working with a port adapter, nvidia driver version Anyway I switched to the opensource radeon driver. Unfortunately I do not have access to another computer with the DisplayPort to check that the cable works, but I’m assuming displsyport now that the cable is not the problem.

[SOLVED] Lenovo W Display Port
Anybody want to lend me a 30″ DisplayPort displayprot to test. For my eye it appears some grey color is added. Ugh, thought i just broke a hinge on my W, but in getting things partially apart looks like the display frame. So it is confusing.
Using Nouveau drivers instead of the nvidia binary blob allows my displayport to work in concert with the DVI out of my dock. If the W’s screen is crap, does that mean the same about the W?

lenobo I think the specs are just presented in a strange way. Another mentioned something similar regarding the audio driver. Most graphics cards are capable of x, so this output limitation concerns me as I want to plug it into a x Lenovo Thinkpad W Graphics Card: According to Matthew Garrett’s blog , there is a lot of progress regarding power management for newer radeon chips.

However I have no new problems with this kernel, so I would say it is pretty safe to test just leave or old one in place to go back if you wan’t. Dell Precision M desk hog. Vista seems to draw W more than XP anyway – so I’m not sure it’s worth switching to Vista just to get switchable graphics working. I would very much like to take full advantage of the digital signal.
