Other pro//wireless having this bug report can verify the version of the driver they are using via ‘modinfo iwl’ or ‘apt-cache policy linux-backports -modules- hardy-generic’. A clear pointer to the problem and the fix would be greatly appreciated.

This bug will need to be dealt with upstream rather than in Ubuntu.
