This might sound nutz, but did you look to see if the mute was checked. I’ll just answer the lamer questions here: I couldn’t get the 6 channel sound to work until I downloaded the latest audio drivers straight from realtek. Mine were removed as my case had front audio connectors. I have a very similar problem with the Asus A7NVM same soundcard i think but if i turn my speakers up full i can hear the sounds quietly let me know if you have any luck sorting it Rob.

This upgrade is turning into the upgrade from Hell. I’m assuming that this board has the ability to connect audio jacks to the front of your case.

When I do anything else like games or Winamp there is no sound from the rear speakers. Why can’t sound come from rear audio after front audio ga-7vac connected? I am sort of having the same problem Regards AD System in Bio. Linux and Windows – No Boot.

As a final lamer suggestion, the standard audio out is the green socket nearest the serial ports. This might sound nutz, but did you look to see if the mute was checked.

No sound whatsoever coming from the speakers, even if I turn them up really loud except that electric type drone you get anyway Any ideas? Mine were removed as my case had front audio connectors. Also on this board you have to remove jumpers to if you are using a front audio output. I have a four surround speaker set. You can have the alternative of using front audio connector or of using rear audio connector to play sound.

I also have a problem with the Auxio chip, not the same mobo i have the ga-8sqbut it has the same audio chip. This is normal situation. Also the settings in the software setup, the audio icon in the system tray have to be set for 2,4,6 channel.
