DK2 USB DRIVER

My initial thoughts were the HDMI socket is loose or the cable is coming out etc as seems to be the fix for a lot of users getting this error. Originally Posted by BigF Source. If possible try using a different USB 3 socket from a different row as that will be on a separate controller. Oculus say the issue is i need to buy a CV1 to fix the issue but I’m not really up for that seeing as how some users are reporting the same issue in the CV1. udb

Results 1 to 12 of If this is set wrong then changing things in the OS doesn’t always work properly why some people say OS power settings solved their issues but doesn’t work for others. I put the whole thing down to me moving my head too much but it will even disconnect while sat on the desk not moving.

Sometimes called different things etc, but you get the gist. If that doesn’t work a roll back of Oculus drivers etc to the one that worked better. If they are then dkk2 maybe overloading the USB 3 controller.

I’ve been using it over a year with no hmd disconnections EVER. Also as your pc is new you may also have a spare usb 3 socket on your motherboard that can be utilised with an adapter.

My initial thoughts were the HDMI socket is loose or the cable is coming out etc as seems to be the fix for a lot of users getting this error. This causes the game to become unresponsive, oddly before the recent Oculus update I was still able to fly from the monitor screen with the rift balanced on my head, now this does not work. Cables, different usb ports, etc with no avail. Originally Posted by Whiteball Source.

You fiddle with your bios settings at your own risk. The PC is well over the minimum spec and is all just under a year old as I built it with VR in mind after my old rig started to creak under the load.

I’v tried everything too. For the most part despite the board isb it can supply “extra” power to the USB 3 ports it may not actually be doing so.

The fix restart ED and carry on great until you have to join back up with the wing players or crew you had before. The worst is when you are in dogfight, am about to win and the hmd decides to disconnect!!! Are both your USB 3 sockets you use side by side?

It can be after 5 mintues of playin and it can be any game not just ED or it may be fine for 2 hours straight. I post here the details later on the ASPM of my board in case its relevant.

Login to reply to this thread. Since I installed the inatek card and using oculus tray tool I havent had a single oculus hmd disconnect! A bit of back ground, I’ve had a DK2 since before the CV1 was a thing, worked fine and had no issues etc ever even when I was messing with dev stuff. So Far the addition of the Oculus advised card is working fine, i did how ever turn off windows power management for it as a matter of course.

Not saying that is your problem but if this happens at times of more intense gameplay then it might be worth looking into.

Conclusion D2 settings aside it may be purely down to having a dedicated USB3 card with a molex power connector to supply more juice than the standard ports are allocated. I will post my findings here if any ones interested. Its still connected up and since the card swap I have not had any drops. I had been using it with the optional power supply as other forums had mentioned this helped, in my case it didn’t.

kd2 Just wanna rep this! But since couple of months I get this hmd diconnection happening randomly. Anyone have any pearls of wisdom to add?? Originally Posted by BigF Source.
