With default drivers it had very bad sound. There was a connection between 2 wires and sound didn’t fail comletely. Maybe there’s a difference, but it doesn’t work with mine. Intel D975XBX2 – no sound
When Justvisiting asked if anyone got line in mic to work, your next post started off with “Works: Register a new account. But for some reason, while using those drivers, Vista would crash on a daily basis. I have gone through the Intel Audio Studio settings and just cannot seem to get any sound, whether it be in a game, windows media player, i-tunes or online, doesn’t seem to matter there is just no sound output at all. I don’t have that particular install.
