I was able to get the modified djsvs driver to install successfully and recognize the scanner. When I download your Unsigned driver for Adaptec AHAxx cards there is only and entry inside for the 78xx scsi cards. Hi Ray I tried the U2W first, could not get it to work, I ended up purchasing the exact same card as the OP, It worked without having to modify any code. I don’t understand how to install this driver, or any of the drivers on the Adaptec site. I also can confirm SCSI still works on linux.

I think they built their stuff too well – loads of their kit is ending up adxptec the hands of consumers via the second-hand market, and consumers are expensive to support.
After the driver was installed my DDS tape drive was listed as a cassette drive at the top of the device list.
To install a driver this way, launch an elevated command prompt from the folder where you extracted the files to and type this command where djsvs. In any case, really appreciate the help.
I did learn something about driver editing though so it was not a complete waste of time trying to get the other one to work. Mike, I see your later posting says you somehow got this to work. I was beginning to wonder if you still monitor this page. Just tried with a clean install of Windows 10 build and was able to install the driver for my AU card.

Your driver will be listed in here sorted by device category and manufacturer. Have you added the hardware ID of your card to the inf file then tried that? Sure enough, many online are clamoring about 2940us for many different controller models. My Epson Expression was collecting dust, but thanks to your link, it is attached to my Win7 64 bit computer and scanning through my Adaptec e SCSI card with Vuescan software.

I would also try going into device manager and throwing out the scsi card, then add a legacy device by hand, and point it to the driver folder.
